23 October –
27 November 2017
Faber hosts for a month professionals, researchers and artists whose work builds on feminism, either at the theoretical, empirical or artistic level.
The second residency period in the autumn of 2017 will be dedicated to feminism. If there is a topic that deserves our attention, it is doubtlessly gender equity and the ways in which gender inequalities intersect with other markers of identity such as class, ethnicity, sexual orientation or ableness, among others.
Faber seeks to recruit a diverse pool of candidates from all over the world in order to reflect in the residents’ work the diversity of roles. This is why we call for professionals, researchers and artists whose work builds on feminism, either at the theoretical, empirical or artistic level. Projects from all the disciplines are welcome.
Who can apply this call? Faber is an interdisciplinary residency. Any professional, researcher, artist or writer who has a project related to feminism and believes that s/he can offer an intellectual exchange and engage in outreach activities. These activities (lectures, workshops, round tables, seminars, working groups) may be addressed to specialists, but also to the general public and students –from different levels of education. To assess the projects, we will take into account the candidate’s curriculum, the work project, the quality of the proposed activities and the flexibility to adapt to different audiences.
Application deadline: 30 August 2017
Notification of acceptance: 30 August 2017 or before
