Women is an experiment. It is a game and, above all, a dare. This was our pitch to IB3, the Balearic Islands’ public radio station. Every week, for an hour, we select a universal theme and consider it from a women’s perspective. The objective of the programme is to challenge our day-to-day existence and to think about why we live in the way we do and how we can live in other ways. It is an exercise in deconstructing our daily lives and reconstructing them from another viewpoint or perspective. Women is a programme that has become a feminist programme as it has developed. So far we have broadcast forty-four programmes tackling such diverse issues as education, machismo, hyper-sexualisation, religion, youtubers, masturbation etc. Our guests are always women. This helps us to show that if a journalistic approach is varied and open, there are always women who can contribute.
