Debate between historians Andrew Dowling and Jaume Claret
Andrew Dowling, historian at Cardiff University, has been researching the field of Catalan history for many years. Lately, he has specialised in the rise of the pro-independence movement. His insight, both well-informed and foreign, make him a good conversation partner so as to analyse the current Catalan situation. Professor Dowling is finishing his next book, Catalan Independence and the Future of the Spanish State (Ashgate, expected to come out in 2017) during his stay at Faber Residency.
Together with historian Jaume Claret, director of the History, Geography and Art History Degree in UOC, they will debate about recent history in Catalonia starting from the immediate past and including references to our political and cultural scenarios.
